Itinerary
Your journey begins in the lively city of Casablanca, where you’ll meet your guide for a welcome meeting. If you arrive early, consider visiting the Villa des Arts, a gallery featuring contemporary Moroccan and international art, or explore the Museum of Judaism for a unique historical experience. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Casablanca.
In the morning, leave Casablanca behind and embark on a short orientation walk with your guide, followed by free time to explore the town. If you wish, stop by Café Hafa for a cup of mint tea (optional) while enjoying views of Gibraltar. In the afternoon, enjoy a private transfer to Chefchaouen, nestled in a valley between two peaks in the Rif Mountains. Many of its buildings were constructed by Andalusian refugees escaping the Reconquista. Take an orientation walk with your guide and head to a stunning sunset viewpoint overlooking the town. Enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel.
Today is free to explore Chefchaouen at your own pace. You can opt for a guided tour through the medina, soaking in the sights, sounds, and smells, or enjoy the local specialties (the orange juice is a must!) at local café. For something more adventurous, take a hike (optional) in the surrounding hills and enjoy a picnic. A popular option is the hiking tour to Akchour Falls, a natural wonder surrounded by lush mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. In the evening, savor a traditional tagine at a local restaurant or unwind with a visit to a hammam, a traditional Moroccan spa (optional). The rest of the night is yours to enjoy.
Start the day with a breakfast before taking a scenic drive to the sacred village of Moulay Idriss. Explore the ancient medina and learn about traditional Moroccan life. Visit the tomb of Moulay Idriss, the great-grandson of Mohammed, who brought Islam to Morocco. At sunset, enjoy panoramic views over the plains of Volubilis below. Dinner at hotel and overnight
Today, take a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site of Volubilis. Explore the ancient hilltop ruins while your local guide gives you a deeper insight into the history of the place. After exploring Volubilis, continue to Meknes for a leisurely exploration of the city. Then, head to Fez in the afternoon, where you’ll spend the next two nights. Known as the spiritual and cultural heart of the country, this is a great spot for a dinner in a local restaurant.
Today, enjoy a guided walking tour of Fez’s Old City, known as Fes el Bali. Step into the Middle Ages as you navigate the labyrinthine medina, teeming with craftsmen, markets, tanneries, and mosques. Visit the Medersa Bou Inania, a beautifully restored building now open to tourists, along with Medresse el Attarine and the splendid Funduq al-Najjarin, a beautifully restored 18th-century inn. Explore the famous tannery, with its iconic view of dye pits, and stop by a ceramics factory to see potters at work. The afternoon is free for exploration, and for dinner, enjoy Moroccan dinner at your hotel
